A Celestial Tourbillon Inspired by Heaven, Earth and Time
The Memorigin Stellar Series – Imperial is an ambitious automatic tourbillon inspired by astronomy, Chinese cosmology, and the philosophical idea of harmony between heaven and earth.
The design draws from the traditional Chinese concept of a round sky and flat earth, bringing together circular and square forms in a symbolic and architectural dial layout. A specially made curved sapphire crystal was developed for this series, allowing the wearer to appreciate the flying tourbillon and layered dial structure from multiple angles.
On the dial, four distinct elements are connected by an 18K solid gold square border: the flying tourbillon at 3 o’clock, the sphere-shaped Earth GMT indicator at 6 o’clock, the time display sub-dial at 9 o’clock, and the 18K gold Chinese ancient planetarium decoration at 12 o’clock. Together, these elements create a visual dialogue between Chinese philosophy and a Western view of the world.
Inside, the watch is powered by an automatic flying tourbillon movement composed of 232 components and 18 jewels, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The tourbillon rotates once every 60 seconds, while the bi-directional self-winding mechanism provides everyday convenience and a 40-hour power reserve.
Finished in a gold plated stainless steel case with gold plated luminous dauphine hands and an alligator strap, the Stellar Series – Imperial is a distinctive and symbolic tourbillon for collectors who appreciate mechanical innovation, cultural storytelling, and celestial design.
