Memorigin Gundam RX-78-2 Tourbillon

The Legendary RX-78-2 Reimagined in Mechanical Form
Created through a collaboration between Art Vantage Trading Limited, Bandai, and Memorigin, the Gundam RX-78-2 Tourbillon brings one of Japanese animation’s most iconic mobile suits into the world of mechanical watchmaking.
The watch captures the unmistakable identity of the RX-78-2 through its signature red, yellow, blue, and white colour palette. A sculpted Gundam head commands the dial at 12 o’clock, while the spacecraft-inspired display at 3 o’clock and the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock extend the mechanical storytelling across the openworked composition. Even the hands are transformed into recognisable Gundam elements, with the gun and shield serving as the time pointers.
The skeletonized dial reveals the intricate movement beneath, creating a natural connection between the complex engineering of the Gundam universe and the mechanics of the watch itself. At 6 o’clock, the flying tourbillon becomes the dynamic heart of the design, completing one full rotation every 60 seconds.
Powered by a manually wound movement with twin mainspring barrels, the Gundam RX-78-2 Tourbillon delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. A stainless steel case, blue alligator strap, and contrasting yellow stitching complete the distinctive look, while the specially designed spacecraft-inspired presentation box further immerses the collector in the Gundam universe.
Bold, mechanical, and instantly recognisable, this tourbillon is created for collectors who appreciate Japanese pop culture, imaginative engineering, and unconventional mechanical watch design.
