The Time Machine Tourbillon – Steampunk Design Brought to Life
The Time Machine is the original expression of Mark Lui’s steampunk-inspired vision, created in collaboration with Memorigin as a bold fusion of traditional watchmaking and modern creativity. Designed to be more than a timekeeper, this conceptual tourbillon transforms industrial-era inspiration into a wearable mechanical artwork.
Its distinctive dial is defined by four circular windows of varying sizes, inspired by factory smokestacks and telescopic views into a hidden mechanical world. Through these openings, the intricate movement comes alive with depth and character, giving the watch a strong architectural presence. The rose gold-plated case enhances the design with a warmer, more vintage tone, reinforcing the retro-futuristic spirit behind the piece.
At its core is a manually wound flying tourbillon movement with a 60-hour power reserve, complemented by a day/night 24-hour display and a power reserve indicator. With its uncommon structure, sculptural case design, and symbolic steampunk language, The Time Machine stands as a memorable collector’s piece that celebrates both imagination and mechanical craftsmanship.
