Captain America’s Heroic Spirit in Mechanical Form
Created in official collaboration with Disney’s Marvel for the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Avengers 2 Series – Captain America Tourbillon transforms the legendary superhero into a bold mechanical collector’s watch.
Capturing Captain America’s appearance with sufficient depth and accuracy proved especially demanding. Memorigin spent several months refining the embossment, carefully shaping the character’s facial features, armour, and shield to create a richly detailed three-dimensional dial. The blue coating required equally precise execution, as any production flaw could compromise the entire sculpted surface.
Ten VVS diamonds serve as hour markers, adding brilliance around the vibrant Captain America composition while complementing its distinctive blue colour palette. At 6 o’clock, the flying tourbillon introduces continuous mechanical motion beneath the character motif, bringing energy and depth to the design.
The manually wound movement comprises 155 components and 18 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and delivers a 40-hour power reserve. A blue-plated stainless steel bracelet completes the heroic aesthetic and incorporates a clasp inspired by Captain America’s iconic shield.
Limited to 100 individually numbered pieces, the Captain America Tourbillon was presented in a specially designed Avengers collector’s box with an illustrated dual-cover manual dedicated to Captain America and Iron Man. It is a distinctive fusion of Marvel storytelling, sculptural craftsmanship, and traditional mechanical watchmaking.
